How to Plan a Fun Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunt
05 Apr, 2022

No Easter celebrations are the same without that famous Easter egg hunt. A chance for children to put their detective hats on and sniff out the chocolate that will be keeping them entertained for days.

So, how can you make your Easter egg hunt fun and different from a regular Easter egg hunt? Not to worry, we have you covered.

Easter Egg Hunt Essentials

We all know that a tradesman is only as good as his tools, and the same applies for our little easter bunnies – so what will you need to carry out your Easter egg hunt this year?

1. Chocolate – Without telling you how to suck eggs (pardon the pun) you will need to supply chocolate and lots of it.

2. Easter baskets – for children to store their chocolate eggs

3. Personalised balloons – what better way to direct your little egg scavengers to their long-awaited treats than by scattering balloons to narrate the way. ‘Easter egg hunt starts here’, ‘This way for more eggs’, ‘Follow me’, ‘Easter egg hunt finished’.

4. Easter dress up – what better way to embark on a super fun Easter egg hunt than to do so with bunny ears.

Rules

We know that rules can be discouraging but the temptation of chocolate will prevail, and kids will agree just so they can get their delicious, sweet treats.

✅ If handling a group of children pair up the smaller ones with the larger ones – small children can get overwhelmed by competing and teamwork will help.

✅ Ensure all children get the same number of eggs, it would be wise to paint, wrap or encase chocolate in assorted colours. Then allocate each child a colour. This way each child gets the same amount of chocolate because they will only be able to put their coloured egg into their baskets.

Now let us get to the fun parts

There are so many ideas you can incorporate into your Easter egg hunt – we have listed a few below for you.
